New Gulbis Interview →
He really should do interviews everyday, he’s arguably the most quotable ATP player. Here’s a another little gem.  On Joint Tournaments: “I like joint tournaments because at least you see some ladies around. Otherwise, the men’s tour can get on your nerves sometimes. [A joint event] has its minuses, of course, because you don’t get all the practice courts. But I like to see...

Revisiting Ryan Sweeting's 2011 Houston Victory.
As many of you may know, I’m a HUGE Ryan Sweeting fan. And now that Rhyne Williams has appeared on the tennis scene in a very similar fashion to Ryan Sweeting’s rise to the tennis world. I’m going to revisit Ryan Sweeting’s 2011 Houston win, and maybe add in some tidbits on Rhyne.  First let’s take a look at Sweeting’s 2011 Houston Draw:  Having trouble...

Cilic Needs A Victory to Better Current Results.
Seldom do I hype tennis matches, because a lot of the time matches simply don’t deserve the hype. So, you may think I’m crazy because I’m about to hype a Quarter Final match where the head-to-head is 7-1. Andy Murray has beaten Marin Cilic 7 times. Cilic only beat him once, at  the 2009 US Open, which is exactly why I’m hyping this match. Cilic was not well known before the...

My rant on Bernard Tomic being accused of tanking...
As many tennis fans know, Andy Murray and Bernard Tomic faced off today in the 2nd round of the Sony Open tennis tournament, which also happens to be a Master’s 1000 event. The match was highly anticipated, as Tomic is touted as the “future of tennis.” Tomic lost 6-3, 6-1. He was then booed off the court, and berated on twitter. The most surprising person to comment on Tomic and...

Regarding Redfoo entering the US Open National...
There’s no way anyone can tell me that it’s fair he has more of chance to make it into the US Open MD, than some lower ranked tennis players. Players who play challengers week in and week out. And, would kill simply for a spot in the Qualifying Draw (and might not get a spot). Redfoo has enough money, he doesn’t need to play for money. Many players actually need to play for the...

Q. Can you talk about the evolution of your relationship with Sharapova? You were close when you were juniors, and now you have become rivals. How did do things change over the years when you got into the pros?
MARIA KIRILENKO: So many questions about our friendship. (Smiling.) Well, when we were young we were close friends, closer friends than now, because we have a little bit different ways. You know, like she lives here; I live in Russia. So we don't have really interests now, you know

Kirilenko Forgoes Doubles Only To Find Singles...
It’s no secret that Maria Kirilenko of Russia is a great doubles player, just look at her doubles career; she’s a two time Grand Slam finalist and possesses an Olympic medal. So, it’s no surprise that at the beginning of 2013 she chose to play doubles with Lisa Raymond. Yet, at 26 years old and worried about possible knee problems. She decided to forgo doubles to focus on her...

Ernests is ready. :)
Q. So you've played Nadal four times. Most of them have been close, but you haven't been able to get over the hump. Can you just talk about what would make the difference to get you the win this time?
ERNESTS GULBIS: I think the way I play right now, that should make a difference. I believe that I can win. Yeah, I said it already. It doesn't, okay, it matters if I win or not, but I want to play as much as matches as possible against these top guys.
Sooner or later I'm going to win something, you know, it's gonna give me extra confidence, and then just to keep it there, you know. I need to win the guys who are ranked 20 to, I don't know, to 100 easier than I did let's say today, and then I need to have enough shots against the big guys.

New Ancic Article + Video Interview with The... →
He talks about being at Columbia university, and occasionally being playing tennis with the team.  Highlights:  On his favorite moment on the men’s circuit:  “I had a couple of big moments in my short career. It’s like having kids because it’s hard to say which one you like more,” On his bittersweet decision to retire: “You give so much. You put in so much hard work, a...

Gone Too Soon
Rarely does a player choose to leave the sport of tennis at the age of 22, but Rebecca Marino of Canada knows all too well what it’s like to live in the digital age. Harassment by cyber bullies ultimately forced her to leave the sport. So, what exactly has Rebecca Marino done in her short lived tennis career? Well, she played a thrilling first set against Venus Williams at the 2010 US Open....

Great Ernests Gulbis Interview →
Oh, what I would give to interview one of the most interesting player’s on the ATP tour. Make sure to read the whole thing, it’s very honest. But, here are some highlights from the interview.  On women/dating:  “but for me to start dating someone I am looking for something…some kind of fire, some kind of unexplainable feeling which I haven’t found it yet.” When...
